Enclose your terrace and use it all year

A terrace enclosure turns a terrace or porch into a space you can use all year round: it protects you from wind and rain while you keep enjoying the light and the views. At Cristalar we install glass terrace enclosures in Marbella and across the Costa del Sol.

There is no single way to enclose a terrace. Depending on its size and orientation, whether you want to open it fully in summer or need to cover it from above, we will recommend glass curtains, sliding doors, fixed panels, a glass roof or a combination of systems.

On this page we explain the options. They are all made to measure, after measuring at your home, with a written, no-obligation quote. We have more than 20 years and over 3,000 projects in homes, residential communities and commercial premises behind us.

01Options

Ways to enclose your terrace

Four systems that can be used on their own or combined.

They can be combined: for example, glass curtains at the front and a glass roof above. We explain this in more detail under glass curtains for terraces.

02How to choose

Which system suits you?

To decide, we think about how you will use the terrace. If you want to open it fully in good weather, glass curtains. If you prefer framed panels and a window-style finish, sliding doors. To block the wind on one side, a fixed panel. And if the terrace has no roof, a glass roof.

If you want…

  • Open it up completely: glass curtains
  • A window-style finish: sliding doors
  • Block the wind: fixed panels
  • Cover it without losing light: glass roof

07FAQ

Frequently asked questions about terrace enclosures

What is the difference between glass curtains and sliding doors?

Glass curtains have no vertical profiles between panels and fold away to one side, so the terrace can be left completely open. Sliding doors have frames and the panels slide past one another.

Do I need permission to enclose my terrace?

It depends on your local council's regulations and, if you live in a building, on what your residents' association says. We recommend checking before ordering the enclosure.

Can the terrace roof be enclosed too?

Yes. We install glass roofs for terraces, patios and porches, on their own or combined with glass curtains.

What glass is used?

Toughened glass for glass curtains, sliding doors and fixed panels, and safety glass for roofs. During the visit we explain the right type and thickness.

How do I get a quote?

Send us a few photos of the terrace and the approximate measurements on WhatsApp at +34 603 52 82 80. We'll come and measure and send you a written, no-obligation quote.
